Eugene Guy Boerner III (Gene) was born on December 26, 1971 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Gene passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma on January 10, 2010 surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was 38.
Gene grew up and spent most of his life in Tulsa. He was Valedictorian of Metro Christian Academy, Class of 1990. He attended Oklahoma State University and completed his Bachelor's degree at the University of Tulsa. He continued his education at the University of Oklahoma College of Law. Never shrinking from any challenge, he earned his Juris Doctorate and won an American Jurisprudence award in spite of breaking both arms during his first year of law school. Gene's impressive work as an intern for the Tulsa law firm of Pezold, Barker & Woltz earned him a position there as an Associate where he practiced in the area of Oil & Gas. Though technically of Generation X, he displayed a work ethic more common to the generation prior. He was a man of unquestionable integrity.
Gene found the love of his life in Tulsa. He married Kristen Murphy on August 4, 2007 in Vail, Colorado. The couple were blessed with twins, Cate and Pierce, on September 16, 2008. An avid cinema buff, Gene enjoyed a night at the movies with family and friends. Gifted on several instruments, he enjoyed playing and listening to music.
